Versa 2 Stair Count

Hi there - I've only recently got a Fitbit Versa 2 and on the whole I'm loving it but I'm confused.  Yesterday my step count was just over 21,000 and 19 floors.  Today my step count is also just over 21,000 but I have a whopping 75 floors!  Surely this can't be correct?  Anyone got an answer?  Thanks so much 😊

Fitbit counts floors by using an altimeter to sense barometric pressure changes with height.  But things other than height can cause pressure changes.  For that many floors, I would guess your weather barometric pressure is changing rapidly.

See Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors?

Thank you so much JohnnyRow - there was a storm brewing yesterday so maybe that was it!  Really appreciate your help.  Have a great weekend.

Yep, if I go out in windy weather my floors count goes through the roof! It's been the same with every fitbit I've had.  The stronger the wind the more floors I get, so it's one stat I completely ignore.

Thank you Griswald!  Yes, I think I'll be ignoring it too.  If I'd done 75 floors I'd be dead!!!  Really appreciate the answer.  Take care and have a great weekend!
