Hi there, I received a versa 2 for christmas and have somehow locked it in the "unlock your phone" screen. The device is not associated with my fitbit account so I cannot find a way to reset it, can you please help me? Thanks

Hi @savagemilly Yes you can Factory Reset using the butto
BUTTON FACTORY RESET FOR VERSA 2
Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset.

It apparently was setup to your account at one time. Fitbit
You should not have removed thhardwaree phone, the process to unlock takes less than 30 seconds by assigning a different pin code. Once it is unlocked and setup again please set the pin for Fitbit pay only.
We need to perform a factory reset now.
OS reset.
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This will trigger the 2-button hardware restart after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, whilst continuing to hold the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

Thank you for your quick answer. I have a versa 2, which only has one button, not three. Do you know how to factory reset this in the same way?

I have held down the left single button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears then release it, but it still goes back to the "unlock with your phone" screen.

@savagemilly that is just a restart.
The factory reset is a multi step process.
I've called for help.

@tlc83 removing the tracker from your account will prohibit you from unlocking with phone.
Have you tried the process posted above?
It isn't to hard but the timing is critical.
Try again and then set the pin for Fitbit pay only.

@Jackiemae65 what device do you have? If it is a Versa or Versa lite follow the directions @NellyG posted above.
By removing the tracker from the account, a 15 second fix has been turned into a several minute job of doing a factory reset (the hard way), then setting up the tracker and possibly having to update firmware
