I had the very common problem with my Versa 2 watch : the touch screen stopped working. All the factory reset and changing watch faces is nonsense. In my case, the problem was with poor mech connectors inside the watch.
I used a heat gun to soften the sealant that holds the display to the case. Then remove four screws (size T2 torx). Carefully pry the wide connector (display) and narrow connector loose. Remove PCB. Pry other connector underneath loose. Reseat connector. Insert PCB back. Press the wide and narrow connectors back in place, they should click. Insert and tighten the four screws. Push watch display back in place. Hold button down for 10 secs to reset. Wait until watch face appears. Swipe now works.
if this works for you, then you’ll likely have to replace the seal that hold the display in place.
There is a You tube video showing how to do this, but the guy uses a razor blade to break the seal, which I consider unsafe. I only used the heat gin and a small suction cup to life the display.
Hope this helps.
