Versa 2 Waterproofing?

Just got the Versa 2 and I am wondering, do I have to do anything before I use it in the shower or while swimming? I know with Apple watches you have to lock it up before you get it wet, and I’m just not sure with my versa2 and don’t want to ruin it tight after getting it.

I can understand your concern - it amazes me that that devices like fitbits can be water resistant. However, fitbit say there is nothing we need to do before getting them wet. They don't say so explicitly in the following help file but if there were restrictions then that's where they would be:

You need to manually lock the Apple watches to prevent water from interacting with the screen. You will wish, Fitbit had the same feature when your watch will start acting weird during the shower 😉 I'm not sure if Versa 2 is any better but my old Ionic could start a new workout under the shower on its own due to lack of locking feature.
