Won't stay connected. After about 5-10 seconds it drops the wifi connection.
This is using two different wifi routers. reset both routers, also did a hard reset on the smart versa 2 itself. Nothing changed. During the initial setup after the hard reset 5 second later wifi drops.
Is there some sort of update that we can have so we can have wifi functionality as this watch is supposed to have please or some sort of fix? Thank you!

@Txking -
From the Versa 2 manual:
"Versa 2 uses Wi-Fi to more quickly download playlists and apps from the Fitbit App Gallery, and for faster, more reliable OS updates."
Wi-fi connections place a heavier power demand on the device's battery than Bluetooth connections, so FitBit is actually doing you a favor by turning Wi-fi off if your device is not downloading a firmware update, apps or Music. You will be prompted to establish a Wi-fi Connection if it is warranted, for instance during a firmware update.
I can confirm that the connection will drop in approximately five minutes if none of the above actions are taking place.

Wish it would last 5 minutes. I seriously get 5-10 seconds and that is it. Nothing can be done in 5-10 seconds.
so far everything I do I have to do over bluetooth because the wifi connection will not stay connected long enough. firmware updates, initial setup, installing applications, all of that can not be done via WiFi as the connection will not stay open long enough.

5 minutes? Try 2 seconds.

I agree. At least 5 minutes i could download a couple songs, but a literal 5 seconds of wifi connection isn't enough time to do anything.
Is there anyone who can provide help as to why the watch will not stay connected long enough on a wifi connection.

This is a little late, but this just happened to me recently, and here's what worked (for me). Turn off WiFi on the phone. Just use the carrier's data connection. As long as my phone was connected to WiFi, I got nowhere trying to browse apps
