Versa 2 battery and touchscreen issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my Fitbit in December 2019. Battery life originally lasted 5-7 days but is no longer lasting more than 2 days. The unit constantly goes offline, is unresponsive to taps or finger slides and needs to be restarted more and more times each day. Is this a sign of a faulty unit or is there something I can do other than constantly restarting? I have downloaded latest new firmware too.

Hi @SeanGallagher, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit forums.

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since the battery is draining fast and the screen is unresponsive to taps. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I would like to know if the issues persist or if they got resolved. In the meantime, try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try the tips listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your watch.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
