Versa 2 battery draining quickly after update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

After the last UPDATE my Versa 2 battery started draining way faster than before (used to last 3-4 days with one charge), now less than a day. Tried all the troubleshooting tips (deactivated notification and stuff - though what's the point of having a smartwatch without those options? might as well get a regular watch and call it a day), did a factory reset - same issue.

Any idea what could be the problem? My guess is a bug in the update since it was working perfectly before.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Well, to be honest not really. I mean they tried to help but no conclusion was reached and since my device is out of warranty they offered a discount voucher to get another device. My experience with them has not been great so far - got a Charge 3 that was bricked after 2 months of use  (in what was *also* a bug with those kind of devices) and now this Versa 2 which is barely usable after updating - my question is why would I want any more of these since any update could potentially break it? Actually looking into alternatives because the whole battery drain thing really bothers me (i get  battery decaying in time, that's fine, however I don't get going from 3-4 days to less than a full day in the span of 1 day and 1 update). Which is too bad because I really like the app and the whole Fitbit environment.

Best regards, nyx

Thank you for your answer, I am quite familiar with the tips for extending my device’s battery life.
And while some of them are reasonable, some are well… not useful - like deactivating notifications and stuff -  ok, market a device for its features and then advise the users not to use said features to extend battery life. If I wanted a **ahem** simple pedometer/watch I would have gotten that, thank you very much.

also i will state this again in case it’s not clear enough by now: IT IS NOT NORMAL FOR BATTERY LIFE TO DROP FROM 3-4DAYS *BEFORE* AN UPDATE TO LESS THAN A DAY *AFTER* THE UPDATE.
i get battery decay, that’s not it, it’s prolly a software **f u c k u p**

Hi, my battery also went from perfectly fine to draining in a day - after the last iOS iphone update. This caused an issue with pairing - syncing works but not pairing so I don’t get text notifications anymore either - but the watch is trying to pair constantly which is what is draining the battery. Are any of those factors relevant for you too? I’ve had two years of good use but now this immediately after the iOS upgrade.
