Hi @trishmcq2u.   What model Fitbit do you use?  This forum is for a child's model.

Hi @trishmcq2u and welcome to the forums.

I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with your Versa 2 battery.

Please let me suggest you some steps:

Firstly, verify your phone's operating system: For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad.

Check if the Always On Display mode is turned off:

  1. Swipe down from the clock face to access quick settings.
  2. Tap the Settings app and then display settings and then Always-on display.
  3. Tap Always-on display to turn the setting on or off.
Or, you can tap Off-hours to set the display to automatically turn off during certain hours.

I also have a Versa 2. You might hard boot the watch by keeping the side button depressed until the watch turns off as indicated by the display going dark. Wait a little, perhaps 10 seconds, then turn back on by depressing the side button until the watch faces lights up. I assume that you have verified that the watch was charged to 100% before dying. Otherwise, perhaps your charger is not working.

Your watch is probably at least a couple of years old and like any lithium-ion battery the battery will wear out which is likely the problem with your Versa 2. You can replace the battery for about $30 for parts if you or someone you know is handy. The crystal on the watch is just glued in and you can use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the glue enabling the crystal to be pulled out to get access to the battery.

Alternatively, you can buy a new Versa 2 for about $70 on eBay. I wouldn't waste my money on a Versa 2 on Amazon as they are all "refreshed" which I think means just cleaned up but with the old battery.
