It seems that with every iOS update I do & subsequent Fitbit app update, both my Fitbit Versa & iPhone 13 batteries drain more quickly. Especially since updating to ios 16 & then 16.5. I’ve turned off about every setting on my iPhone & Versa that impact battery life but have seen minimal improvement. Hopefully after the iOS patch that’s coming (16.5.1) we’ll see a Fitbit app update that will improve things 🤞

Hi @NancyB - annoying but did you try turning off the phone Bluetooth and only turn on when needed. Syncing problems can cause high battery drain.
Perhaps there is a clue here Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
Even so, logout of the Fitbit App and swipe the active window off then restart the phone and watch with Bluetooth on as an alternative approach.

As a general rule, I always keep Bluetooth off until I need it (for anything). I’ve turned off every setting poss on both my iphone & fitbit to preserve/prolong battery life as well as restarted, deleted, logged out etc etc (iPhone & fitbit) but battery life just stinks ever since I updtd to iOS 16 😔 I don’t have syncing or any other probs other than poor battery life.
I along w/others posted about iPhone battery drain after iOS 16.5 in apple forum. Just wanted others in this forum to be aware if they’re experiencing similar prob. Apprec your input & willingness to help (as always) 😊

@NancyB - it is possible an iOS update can impact the phone battery life (presumably you turned off location) but it shouldn't impact the watch battery life with Bluetooth turned off.
If it does there is something going on with the watch which if restarting doesn't cure may be more serious.
Thanks for reporting the issue which can be helpful to others.

@Guy_ I agree… Fitbit battery life ‘shouldn’t’ be impacted but the timing is suspicious since the rapid decline in battery life occurred after installing iOS 16.5 & subsequent Fitbit app updates 🤔

Apple released iOS 16.5.1 today & even if you have automatic updates on, you need to manually download & install it. It remains to be seen whether this update will fix the iPhone battery drain (& fitbit battery drain) 🤞
I did notice in last few days that when I kept my iPhone wifi turned off, both my phone & fitbit battery life was WAY better. So far, 3 days & still have 35% remaining.
