Versa 2 battery is draining quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

i just bought a new versa 2 and chose it over other options because the long battery life appealed to me, i have a few friends that have them and they usually last a couple of days. but mine, brand new out of the box, isn't holding a charge well. last night was my first night owning it and i went to bed with it charged at probably 98, slept for 8 hours, and woke up with it at 10%. charged it before work and turned off some notification options and motion waking it, and about 6 hours into my shift it's at 40%. in comparison, my coworker's fitbit he's had a while, he also charged it before work and at the same time he's at 98%.

is there some weird thing that might be draining my battery, or is there a chance it's a defect i should warranty out?

Hi there, @casdere and @DianeK68. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 2 smartwatches. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Please ntoe that your Versa 2 battery should last up to 6 days. However, as with other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the GPS, Spotify app or the Always-On display. While this doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, please take into consideration the conditions that impact your watch's battery.

That being said, I'd recommend to change the clock face to one designed by Fitbit and please confirm if you've followed the tips and recommendations to maximize your watch's battery life described here.

Hope this helps.

Call Customer Support and request a replacement. It should not drain that quickly.

I had my Fitbit Versa 2 for 25 days, so I went over back to the retailer I purchased it from and received an exchange. He is hoping that I don't run into any more problems with the battery at least not until after a couple years since I know batteries don't last forever but they shouldn't drain in a day especially when it's a new unit. Please keep us posted if you get this resolved. That was my answer going to exchange it since it was within my 30-day period from the retailer. If it's been 30 days or less for you go back to your retailer or contact them or do something and exchange it and let's see what happens. Good luck!
