Hi there, @Jeff45. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your wife's Versa 2 battery is draining in less than 12 hours. I understand where your concern is coming from. I will do my best to help you guys!

I'd like to share with you that the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used in general. Because you're using an Always-On Display clock face, I'd recommend changing the clock face to another one made by Fitbit and monitor its behavior the next few days. Additionally, try turning off this setting by opening the Settings app on your watch > Display > Always-on display.

For more tips and recommendations, please see Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Nevertheless, bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

@Jeff45 You're very welcome!

Regarding your inquiry, we as Fitbit do not do it or suggest to replace the battery as that could permanently damage your watch. The battery on Fitbit devices are not replaceable nor interchanged.

Before doing something to your Fitbit device, please review the section Availability or repair facilities/spare parts  and Exclusions and Limitations from this article fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

I have a Versa 3, been a brilliant device over the last 3 years and needed charging once every 5 days, but for last 10 days or so, it needs recharging everyday (lasts < 24 hours only).
I have not made any changes to settings.
Have since read other posts about settings to minimise battery use etc , but what has changed is not clear? Version upgrade? It’s version 36.128.6.17

thanks

Hi there I have just tried 2 of the suggestions I received I turned the on screen time down to the minimum setting 10 secs and I made her Versa manual switch on instead of auto waiting to see what effect this had on the battery performance best regards

All rechargable batteries age, but when this happens to dozens of people after an update, maybe it means that there was something wrong with the update?
