My Versa 2 ran out of battery, so I plugged it into the charger and left it for several hours. When I went to put it on, it was really hot, but had not charged, or at least it showed an unresponsive black screen. I am worried it is a fire hazard! Never had a problem before. I am absolutely gutted!

Hi @SisterSue239 - you are right, never charge a faulty watch that gets hot, fire or explosion is possible.
It probably has internal damage often from water accumulating inside causing shorting or charging malfunction.

I don’t wear it in water. So that shouldn’t have been an issue. I am so sad because I am lost without my Fitbit 😭

YouTube can show you how to replace it otherwise you'll need to replace the watch
