My versa 2's battery needs charging more frequently. Is it because it's getting older? I've got a Samsung galaxy 7 cell to sync it.

Hi there @Friendofyoga, welcome back to the community.
Thank you for reporting us about the inconvenience you are facing. Please be aware that certain functions may have an effect on how long your device's battery lasts. The Always On Display is one of the features I describe. With some clock faces, you may use this option to keep the display on always.
Please take a look at this article, which lists every feature I mentioned.

Same here. This is my second Fitbit device that has lasted less than 2 years. Battery will not hold a charge for more than 10 - 12 hours. The Versa 2 dies at about 60%. The answer from support is to turn off all the features that once worked without issue and the device held a charge for days. I got an email from Fitbit saying my device is out of warranty and so sorry this happened. Researching non Fitbit devices. Terrible service and poorly made product.

Mine has started playing up too! I thought it was a battery issue, but BBC News alerted me to others suffering! Come on FITBIT....let us have our devices working properly again!

Same here.Immediately after the update last year my Versa 2 battery ran down very quickly and certainly wouldn't last one day & night.
I found I could extend the time by removing the automatic link to my phone that the update had imposed (I never had it on before and always manually sync'd). Now it lasts all day and late into the night but I have to charge it up overnight otherwise it will be dead in the morning. This means I have been unable to track sleep. The display for sleep is inferior anyway since the update.
Really gone off my FitBit now and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Colleagues I speak to have all said how much they have found the Apple Watch but I can;t see why I should spend more money when my FitBit was working perfectly adequately..... until the update last year. 🤬

I have the same issues since I took latest updates. Now my versa 2 won't sync, battery draining in a day, can't select exercise activities, steps and activities not being recorded and not syncing with my phone. Iv reset mine, disconnected and setup again and nothing has changed. This all started after the latest update
Of course my versa 2 is out of warranty which seems convenient. I've spent this week investigating garmin, Samsung and other alternatives. No way I'm staying with fitbit if they update and render our watches useless over night with an update. It goes against the EU policy on recycling.
