When I put my Versa 3 on the charger, it gets hot instead of charging. I moved the cord to different USB ports, and it does the same thing regardless. I did not receive any messages about the update from January, and now my device is dead. Thank you so much for your assistance in fixing this issue.

Hi @Panicof1873 .  A hot battery indicates a battery charging fault.  Please stop trying to charge it.  Do not wear it.  Dispose of it according to the e-waste rules of your location.

A few days ago I migrated from Fitbit to Google management and my Versa 3 stopped working within a few hours. I thought it had just run out of battery -- earlier than usual -- but plugging it into the charger caused it to heat up like a little black coal. It won't come back on and none of the buttons work -- while plugged-in or not -- so I have no way I know of to attempt to reset it. (Google claims my version of Versa 3 is not eligible for the $50 "appeasement" they are offering for potentially overheating Fitbits.)

Has anyone else encountered a problem like this shortly after migration? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to next steps? I've been pretty happy with Fitbit from their very beginning but might be ready to switch to another tracker system at this point.

Thanks!

I purchased my new Fitbit charge 6 in April this year, it came with a grey silicon wristband which the style has been modified from my last watches.(had Fitbit watches since 2014) but my main concern apart from not liking the new fastening , is the material, its causing  a sever rash, almost like a burn, I have tried wearing it on the other wrist but its the same, in the whole time I have had my watches I have never experienced anything like it, is anyone else experiencing the same thing . ?

I already had issues with the Tracker when it came to the wrist band falling off for some reason. Now I was swimming with it and it just broke, first the screen was slowly dying and then it stopped working. Plugged it into the charger (already tried the method to force restart) and it was back despite the screen not showing anything I was able to sync my data at least. Also it was really warm while charging it and I'm sure it would have gotten even warmer if I let it on the charger. So my real question now is why is it being sold as a waterproof or even as a water resistant tracker? And no I wasn't even diving and it wasn't salt water either.

Already contacted their support and let you guys know if there's an update on this.

My sense HR stop working after my first swim with it. I usually choose not to risk it despite it is claimed to be 50m waterproof. But, with recent high frequent swimming as my main exercise, I thought it will good to track my swimming, especially I had history of heart palpitation issue.

However, it stopped working after the swim. The battery went completely flat from 85% after the swim. Initially, it was having problem to charge with two extensive bright green lights (normally there are 1 red and 1 green light flashing for heart rate monitor) and hit high temperature warning sign on the screen. The watch was burning hot and I removed from charger immediately as soon as it heated up. After 2 days, I managed to charge it to full again but the 2 green lights stay on and will drain my battery from 100% to 0% in just less than 30minutes.

Please advise what can I troubleshoot to fix this? I have done trying to restart, factory reset, turn on and off irregular heart beat rhythm in settings, clean up charging contacts with 100% IPA but none of them are working.

I noticed a few red spots on my wrist but thought nothing of it. Tonight I had my watch on charge, resting in the arm of the settee, when it went bang. Lots of white smoke and the face of my watch had blown off.  Nice burn mark on sofa now.  It’s come to me that these marks on my wrist are actually from it overheating - Scary !!
