As a Trucker I drive 9-10 hours daily and my Fitbit is logging an excessive amount of steps that I ain’t taking. This is extremely aggravating when you’re using this device for the betterment of your health and it’s giving credit for something you didn’t do. There should be a way to turn off the step counter when you’re stationary. I’ve only had my Fitbit for about two weeks and I’m becoming less and less impressed with it. Fortunately I got it through my company’s rewards program and I didn’t spend the $150 retail price.

Hi @SunsetRunner - hand movements and vibrations can fool it into thinking they are steps.
If you are right handed you could try changing hand type to dominant even though it's on your left arm which may fool it somewhat.
If your watch has a driving exercise you could enable that and it won't count steps, but you have to remember to end the exercise when you stop driving.

I can’t seem to find “driving exercise” option in my settings.

@SunsetRunner - in that case you can edit the period of the drive in the Fitbit app and change to driving and sync to exclude the steps.
