I purchased a versa 2 last October. Already the battery is draining in less than 12 hours and will not respond to swipes. I called customer service and went through trouble shooting. Rep determined it was a warranty issue and I would receive an email. No such luck! Fitbit does not stand behind its products!

Hi @carladodd - if your watch is faulty and only bought October 2022, it is covered still by warranty and can be replaced where you bought it.

@Guy_ I hope no one in the USA at least, wastes their time thinking this is correct information and tries exchanging where they bought it. Once you're past your initial return period, you have to go through Fitbits warranty team for issues. I've lost track how many times I tried getting you to understand this.

Thanks @MarkMM - doesn't it depend on whether you bought it from an authorised dealer or not for the one year warranty in the US?
As many people buy direct then that would be Fitbit to handle warranty?
In Europe the 2 year waranty is from the seller but can also be handled by Fitbit.
However the resulting actions are not the same. You can get a complete new watch exchange from a seller but only a refurbished pebble from Fitbit.
If there is no choice your options are limited.

@Guy_ No, it doesn't matter if it was an authorized retailer. You have your return period. Beyond that, it's Fitbit warranty team. Of course you can try haggling with someone like Amazon, and they might help you out. But it's not the rule.

@Guy_ That's pretty awesome! Wish we did have two years and could just exchange where bought. Right now I'm waiting for Costco to drop the price on their still available Versa 2. Although I might have an issue if there's a warranty claim. I might not be able to get a Versa 2 replacement. Your way would be so much better.

Thanks @MarkMM - sometimes a good seller will do an over the counter exchange so there is very little downtime!
