Versa 2 doesn't receive notifications

Look. 
I love my fitbit versa 2, I even just started the monthly premium options. However, I’m getting really annoyed with my notifications not showing. I bought a fitbit primarily to track my fitness. I don’t really use their workouts that they offer. I do love the tracking sleep options. 

I know Apple Watch wasn’t made for fitness, but they do allow fitness options and have new apps that can do the same thing the fitbit can do. I got the versa to have some smart watch options. Seeing texts and getting calls when I can’t grab my phone definitely helps; however, the text option hasn’t even been working and the calls are laggy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I just bought this new watch two months ago. This makes me really upset. 

Has anyone had a Apple watch, but still prefer the fitbit? Thanks!
