Versa 2 firmware update

I've literally had my Versa 2 for one week. I received a notification on the app this morning saying I needed to install a firmware update. While it says on the app that it's connected to my home wifi network, once the update begins, it fails saying the wifi isn't connected. This happened during setup as well. It will not stay connected to my wifi, even if I'm sitting next to the router. Over Bluetooth, the thing has been updating well over two hours and getting literally nowhere. I've read through the many posts in this forum from even as far back as two years ago about these same issues. Why has this not been corrected by now on Fitbit's end? Why did I just pay nearly $300 for a product that isn't working properly? Beyond frustrating. Even if I shut down the app on my phone and restart the watch, the Versa 2 goes right back to the half-loaded update screen. It will no longer show my stats. How do I fix this?

The same thing happened to me what I had to do was keep my finger on the restart button until the Fitbit logo flashing up for the second time and then it kicked it back in and not had a problem since.
