Versa 2 heart rate accuracy concern during exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just completed a hit workout and could tell my heart rate was up. However, my versa 2 showed a below zone rate of around 85. When I was all done, I logged into the the app and it was then that my heart rate showed higher (fat burn zone). Is there a correlation between using the watch and needing to have the app on my phone running in the background as well to read properly?? And yes, I have it in the correct position, etc. Somedays it works just fine and other days I can’t get an accurate reading. This was the first day though that I noticed it change when I opened up the app on my phone.

Hi @Westondesign, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for sharing so many details, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To further investigate this situation, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Which phone are you using with your Versa 2? Do you experience the same issue with your heart rate daily stats too or just during an exercise? In the meantime I receive your answers, I recommend you to check the information that's specified on our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified there.

Looking forward to your reply. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hello and thank you for your reply! I currently have my app running on an iPhone Xs. I’ve noticed this issue a number of times most noticeably it seemed when doing a “weights” specified workout. However, this was the first time I seemingly found a correlation between the app open and running on my phone and the heart rate reading correctly.

I work out almost daily so I’ll be sure to see if I have this issue in the future WHEN my app is open. Thanks!

I also do not notice a problem with the day-to-day heart rate readings. At least I’ve never paid that close of attention to them.

I just was able to confirm today that my heart rate monitor does not work correctly if I’m not synced with the app on my phone. I was doing a workout and I was continually below zone so finally I checked and saw that I didn’t have the app open on my phone. I opened it, synced it, and then my watch went from below zone to cardio zone! Is this supposed to work this way or is this a glitch with the software. Thank you for your help.
