Versa 2 inaccurate steps count

My Versa 2 was showing that I had 6000 steps. When I checked it again a few minutes later, it shows 196,238 steps! That is just for one day. How can I fix this? I already restarted it.

Hi @Camgirl14, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Regarding the inaccurate steps count issue that your Versa 2 has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

 

In order to avoid any confusion on my end, let me know if you restarted your watch as advised in this help article. In the meantime, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps.

Hi,
I did restart my Fitbit. This morning only part of my sleep logged but when I looked at the “add sleep” the time was more accurate. It also didn’t record one of my workouts this week.

Yesterday mine showed 6k then reset itself to 324 for the day. Then a little later showed back to the 6k something and the steps I did on the treadmill didn't show up.
