Versa 2 is not counting steps

I purchased a Versa 2 in Aug 20 for my other half. It has stopped counting my steps. I’ve restarted it, reset it back to factory settings, unpaired and paired it back to his phone, but can’t get it to work. I’ve tried all the things mentioned on the forum, 100 steps etc to no avail. Can anybody help?
