when I open my fitbit app, it does not automatically sync with my versa 2. I have to manually swipe down in order to start the sync. I've rebooted, re-paired my device, and everything else the Fitbit help people said to do. continual sync is NOT a good answer. Nothing works. The app should sync automatically every time it is opened.

This affects multiple watch models, and many users. Sense and Versa 3 in my household, both have random sync issues. I would keep doing what you are doing, all the normal troubleshooting, until there is a fix. I would not recommend calling customer support, my wife did that before asking me for help and they made the situation worse for her watch.
