Versa 2 - not accurately counting steps

I recently purchased a Versa 2 - after my original versa died.  It doesn't count all my steps.  It's only getting 50% of my distance.   I've been walking the same route for years & the new versa has cut my distance in half!  That's a big drop when you're needing accurate counting for a marathon!

 

I've read through posts & done all the suggestions, nothing has changed the counting errors- am about ready to send this back for a refund!

To be precise, is it your steps that are reduced, or distance, or both?

If just distance is reduced but steps are similar, then it could mean your stride length is set too short.

 

But without knowing whether or not you are connected to your phone's GPS, it is impossible to analyze your situation.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
