Versa 2 not connecting to GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 2 is synced with my phone, but it won't connect to GPS. It just says "connecting". I have already:

  • Restarted my fitbit
  • Restarted my phone
  • Switched on/off location settings
  • Tried to leave the fitbit app open before attempting to connect to GPS
  • Made sure the location settings are enabled "always"

What else can I do? It's very annoying when I go for a walk/run, as it won't sync my route and therefore not track my pace properly, or sync to Strava. For reference, Strava syncs my runs perfectly through the Strava application itself, but I prefer tracking it through my watch.

For reference, my phone is a Google Pixel 3XL. Android version 11

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Mkni.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Versa 2. Thanks for the information provided and for trying to resolve the issue before contacting us.

In this case, we recommend visiting this article, open the menu "Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?" and follow the instructions.

In addition, you can set up your watch as a replacement device:

  1. Tap the Today tab Fitbit logo, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Regarding the issue with Strava, please revoke the access to Fitbit and connect them once again. Please do not uninstall the app from your watch.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
