Versa 2 not getting notifications

  • I've recently bought a versa 2 and the notifications keep stopping. When I go on the app and into the notification section there is red writing at the top saying that "the notification service is not running and a phone restart is required for notifications on my tracker". I've restarted my phone several times, and turned it off and on again several times and it's still not working. I had to delete the app last time and go through the process of downloading it all again to get it to work last time but I'm wondering if there's an easier way to fix this problem. I've also checked and the app is up to date. Any advice/help much appreciated to make it stop doing this.

Update: if anyone else is having this problem. I just spoke to someone on the Fitbit chat support. Go to your phone settings, click on the Fitbit app, and clear data/storage. This seems to have solved the problem for me, for now.
