Versa 2 not setting up

Have been at this for 4 hours now. Have reset the watch. Have turned bluetooth off and on. Have quit the fitbit app and restarted it. Have turned turned my phone off and on. Nothing helps. I get to the point where the watch gives me the required 4 digits, and I enter those on the phone. And then, after cranking for a while, the fitbit app says there's a problem communicating with the tracker. Where do I go from here???????

Hi @Kitties3 - Thanks for letting us know all the trouble shooting steps you have tried. Here are a couple things to try:

  • during the set up, make sure your Versa 2 is fully charged when setting it up
  • try moving to a room that has no other Bluetooth devices in it. (Speakers, Alexas, etc)
  • verify that you are trying to connect to one of the supported devices 
  • Verify that your phone’s OS has been upgraded to the latest version.

Yup. Been there, done all that.
iPhone is older, but running iOS 12.4.5 -- which should be a supported
device, according to the listing, Fitbit app updates, same app until
recently synched to a Charge 2 (whose screen went black and would not
restart -- so therefor the Versa 2). Jo other bluetooth anywhere near.

Have now spent another hour on this (5 total!). Same results -- no go.
I am soooooo done!

However, have decided what is now 6 hours is too much time spent (wasted!) on a new gadget that isn't performing. Have decided to return it.
