Versa 2 not swiping

My Versa 2 won't swipe. I've restarted and uninstalled and reinstalled. Any suggestions?

Try this:

  • Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  • When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset.

It was saying reset not successful, try again. I tried but still have not been successful. I've really done something. I'm getting no display. I've put it on the charger and am hoping some sort of magic happens tonight.
