Versa 2 not syncing

Got the Versa 2 couple of weeks ago but no luck with my first time Fitbit purchase.

Mate 20 android phone

Fitbit Versa 2

Unable to sync with no notification

Sync only works if I turn the versa 2 on and off then my phone on and off.

 

Things I have tried so far:

  1. Update phone to new system
  2. Update Versa 2 to new system
  3. Reset phone
  4. Reset versa 2
  5. Restart Versa 2
  6. Restart Phone
  7. Reset Bluetooth
  8. Delete other Bluetooth connections
  9. Uninstall and reinstall Fitbit app
  10. Repair Fitbit app with Versa 2
  11. Always connect is on
  12. All day sync is on
  13. Phone is not on mute/DND

 

Still no luck, I have to turn off then back on both phone and the Fitbit to sync my device. Any suggestions?

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, try syncing your watch again and see if the issue gets fixed.

I have tried it all, still, no device has been found, unable to connect and nil notifications.

MY WATCH WILL NOT SYNC AS WELL. THEY SAID SOMEONE HAD CHAT WITH THE LAST PERSON.  CAN WE DO THAT?

I want to rephrase my last note.  The answer given to the other person with the same problem said they had chatted with someone and they fixed the problem.  So if someone could do the same for me that would be great

I just go done with live chat. 

1. turning off blue tooth and unpair versa 2 from the phone

2. turn off all notification on Fitbit app

3. turn off and reboot your phone

4. turn back on blue tooth

5. Turn on the notification option on Fitbit app

6. select apps you want the notifications from and I was able to select apps except SMS Text.

7. this helped with phone calls coming through versa 2

6. SMS Text reads default app and is grayed and unable to select. (which is an issue FITBIT is trying to fix now.  it's the Fitbit app that is crosswiring with SMS Text app.  I asked it to be escalated again since it would be a waste of such a great design and product if it cannot be fixed, in the age where we live by TEXTs.)  it was duly noted.  Keeping my fingers crossed. I have 90 days to return the product but really hoping for a fix.  Kathy

Mine will not sync on it's own, even though the settings are set too. 

I'm very disappointed. I was happier with the original versa. I feel I wasted $$

I had the same issue, I tried everything on these chats, I finally decided to get customer support, used their "Customer support chat"; the agent was fast to reply, asked a couple of questions and immediately recommended to update the iOS in my iPhone. 

After I updated the iOS, I was able to find the right app and sync without any issue.
