Hi everyone and TIA for any assistance...
So last night I woke up at 11:03pm to find my Versa 2 watch would not come on to show me the time... I thought the battery might have died, so I took off the watch and put it on the charger (which I have connected to a USB outlet connected to mains power). I left it there for the remainder of the night and when I checked it again this morning, the screen was frozen with 11:03 and yesterdays date and step count...
I figured it would reconnect to my phone (which it has been working just fine with up until today) and the steps would reset, the date would come right etc... but this didn't happen.
I opened the Fitbit app on my phone, and discovered that the watch had not synced with the phone for over 70 days... ?? So then I tried to make it sync... it managed a half proper sync - recorded yesterday's steps on yesterday, and also showed the same step count on today's tally... the date didn't correct itself at all and the step counter was frozen...
I tried restarting both the phone and the watch but that didn't resolve the issue. Then I found some instructions for how to factory reset the watch... it included a warning that I would lose any data that was not already synced, and any data for today... so I thought I would give this a try...
Now I am stuck with my watch not connecting correctly to the Fitbit app, I've removed and reinstalled the app, tried to repeat the factory reset etc... but it keeps jamming at the point where it wants to update the watch via either WiFi or Bluetooth... (I've tried both options - Wifi outright fails, and Bluetooth managed 1% then fails)...
I keep getting a message on the watch saying "Data not cleared Sync and try again"...
At this point I am completely lost and I've tried following other similar suggestions from the help forums...
Can anyone help me resolve this?
Thanks
Ryan
