Versa 2 notifications are not working

I got a new fitbit versa 2 from amazon yesterday. Notifications worked for about an hour but now my app says I have to restart the phone. Done that numerous times. Doesn't fix it. Restarted fitbit and phone several times. Not fixedfaxtory reset and still not working. 

 

Not impressed and don't know what to do?

Hi 

 

I got a new fitbit versa 2 yesterday and my notifications aren't showing up. It worked for a bit but now it says I have to restart the phone to enable the notification centre but I've done that and reset the fitbit and the app and everything and nothing is working. Can you please advise?

@Jl329, a warm welcome to the Community!  Thank you for the information provided. 

We released the new update for the Android Fitbit app a few days ago. Please verify that you have installed it. 

Also please go to the settings on your phone. Settings>Apps> Fitbit app. and clear the cache from it. Restart your phone afterwards. 

Please let me know if you still receive the message and the notifications are forwarded to your watch.

I reset the phone as you said but still can't receive the message on my Versa 2.

It can receive message yesterday but not now.What can I do next.

Got a new one sent out. Still exact same problem. Says it should be compatible with my phone but quiet clearly isn't. Hoping to get my money back, screw this
