Versa 2 order status keeps changing

Sadly I ordered my wife a Versa 2 Special Edition for her birthday. I ordered it on Sept 6 and the order email showed it was on backorder and would be shipped on Sept 14.  Today, Sept 17, I went on Fitbit chat because the order status never changed. I was told the ship date had been changed to Sept 27 but it could be changed again! Really, no notification, no nothing, just changed the ship date. I've been a fitbit customer for years. This order was our fifth watch. So I cancelled the order, turned around and ordered it from Amazon and it arrives tomorrow. Sad that Amazon can fill the order but Fitbit can't. Sad that Amazon communicates if there is a problem and FitBit doesn't.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience while ordering a Versa 2 for your wife. I see where you're coming from about not having a specific status of your order. Usually when a product is on back order the website will show the estimated time frame when it'll ship. I apologize this wasn't the case with your order. I'm still glad that you could get a great gift for your wife and please know that your feedback will be passed along to our team so you won't be let down again.
