I was at over 11k steps earlier today and now down to 4600 steps. Why is the Versa 2 losing steps? This is really annoying.
how do I report this issue to Fitbit?

Before considering other options, please let me know if you're seeing the missing steps on the screen of the Versa 2, on the Fitbit app or both. In the meantime, make sure that you've tried the restart procedure described here, as this has been helpful for some users experiencing something similar.
In the meantime, if you remember the exact amount of steps or the name of the activity you performed, you can try manually logging the activity.

my Versa 2 lost all my steps today as well. Right around 2:30 PM. Lost my exercise today as well. Still recorded my sleep and my zone minutes are still there in the app. Have completed a restart and tried changing the watch face. I also did a shutdown and restart of my iPhone. Logged in and out of the app as well.
