Versa 2 screen brightness

I have tried to change the brightness of my screen in both the settings and quick settings menu and I see no change between the Dim, Normal, and Max settings. The screen is too dim for me to see when I’m outside. Is there anything I can do to fix this?  I have rebooted and factory reset my watch so far with no results
