The exact same thing happened to my Fitbit versa 2 yesterday and then this morning the screen went blank and I couldn’t see anything although everything was working in the background including steps etc. I took it to a watch repair shop but they said they wouldn’t be able to fix it as it may damage the mechanism inside the watch so today I have bought a new upgraded versa 4 but trying to figure out how to sync it to my account so I don’t lose all my history.

@Zayzeelin Welcome on board! I'm sorry that you too had this issue with your Fitbit device and couldn't fix it.

Regarding your new Versa 4, to make sure you don't lose all your previous data and keep your history from the Versa 2, please sync it to your Fitbit app (as you mentioned it was still syncing in the background) before setting up your Versa 4. Once that has been done, please proceed to properly set up your new Versa 4 by following the steps below:

  • Unpair your old Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Versa 4.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 4.

Hope that helps.
