Versa 2 screen died

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The screen on the versa 2 I purchased about a year ago suddenly turned green and after several reset and restart attempts died. This is the second time I have this tipe of issues with the fitbit devices, first it was a charge 2 and now the versa 2. This makes me belive their devices seems to be build to last until a new version is released. Unfortunately after many years and multiple devices Is not worthy for me to just keep replacing devices.

@Tada345  so you're still under warranty? I have an older Alta HR and it's still working, although it was retired two styles ago.

Fitbit customer support is doing their best, but right now be prepared for longer wait times. Please be patient. Support is limited by the number of representatives available at a given time and the hours of operation. Chat lines are open when they have live help.

Put an ice cube on top of the sensors on the back for a few seconds (shouldn't be an issue because Fitbit claims these things are 50m waterproof), then see if condensation/fogging appears on the inside of the watch, right where the sensor "windows" are. If the answer is yes, your Versa died due to water damage.

I called customer service and the one year guaranty expired 7 days ago. Luckily they make an exception an gave me a replacement.

Can't complain about their customer service although I rather not have to use it.

Funny that they gave me the option of a replacement or 50% discount, unfortunately the discount can not be used with any of the new devices which is disappointing to say the least.

I will most likely use the replacement until it dies and switch to other device.

Thanks for the tip, I tried it this morning but no condensation. I usually take the watch off for charging while I shower,  so I seriously doubt is water damage. Either way thanks for the advise.

Did they offer you a replacement without sending your broken one back? Cause I have been fighting them to do the same thing for me (they did it with my old Versa Lite) and they simply refuse. It's insane to return it when I'm not even in the US.

Even if their prepaid label does reach me eventually, I can't stay without a fitness tracker for months so I already bought a Garmin Venu.
