Hi I was hoping someone here could help me. I have my Versa 2 since January and have been loving it so far.
However, the touch screen has stopped responding for the past 2 weeks. The screen lights up when I turn my wrist (most of the time) but will not respond to any swipes. The button on the side only works half the time.
So far I have had to restart the watch multiple times a day and have completed 3 factory resets to try sort out the problem. The touch screen sporadically returns to normal, but after a few hours it stops responding again.
The time is changing on the clock face so it is not frozen. It has never been in contact with water and has not had any falls that could have damaged it.
I'm not really sure where to go from here as I have turned it on and off, and completed factory resets as I have seen this advised in other posts.
I'd really appreciate any further advice you could give.

I have mine since November and today 4/28/2020 about 12:00 pm the face went blank, so I check the sync on my phone, it said my Versa 2 needs charging, so I did. My Versa 2 is now fully charged as shown on my phone but the Versa 2 face is still blank. I am now looking for help, this is my second Versa that as gone blank. I am looking for some phone contact for Fitbit but I can't find one.

I discovered this evening that if I take my watch off and hold my finger on the green light at the back in just the right way the screen will work and swipe.
It wont work when my finger is off it or when it is on my wrist. It's still reading by heart rate, steps and sleep though.

Thank you, my Versa 2 is also not responding to swipes. Hoping we can collectively find help here.

Mine also does not respond to swipes. For once it is connecting and syncing regularly, but now the screen does not respond to being touched. Screen lights up if I tilt my wrist (sometimes) and it still counts steps. Very frustrating as I finally solved my connectivity issues.
I have turned the Fitbit off several times in a row to no avail. Never wear it in the shower, swimming, etc.
EDIT: Misread, my issue is with the Versa Lite but same boat.

It sounds like the same problem though. Have you tried pressing your finger against the green sensor (where it would usually touch your wrist) and then trying to swipe? Mine sometimes works when I do that. It's not swiping at all the normal way so I'm in the middle of trying my 4th factory reset in a week! 😣

With help from a Fitbit tech, we got my Versa 2 restarted but wasn't for long so they are sending me a replacement. It seems like this model is having a whole lot of issues.

Seems like it’s a common problem. I have the exact same issue. Only addition to my problem is for a couple days it was acting like a ghost was messing with it. Out of nowhere the stopwatch app would be on and it was as if someone was pressing the play/pause button over and over. With the screen not responding to my touch I couldn’t stop it so I had to restart it.

It's really not good enough. I had my charge 2 for years and never had a problem. I decided to upgrade at Christmas as a treat and the watch has been unusable for the last 2 weeks and was somewhat glitch before that (but I ignored the problem).
Do you mind me asking if you bought your watch directly from fitbit.com? I got mine from a store that sells electrical goods so I'm not sure if I go to them or directly to fitbit. I got my watch 4 months ago now.

I didn't realize that this device had so much problem, I also bought the Versa Lite for a friend for more than one year, I had the Blaze the just went blank and will not work unless it's connected to the battery so I update to the Versa 2 thinking it was a better device. I bought mine at Kohls just before Thanksgiving. I am sure if call Fitbit they might replace it, if you bought this at Christmas. Good luck!

Mine is doing the same thing today. It’s tracking my steps and alarms going off but no screen. My issues all started a few days ago with battery draining the night I did the new update. By chance did you do the new update when problems started?

I’d have to look at when I did the update. I went to update it when it was having problems and I believe it was already up to date.

I actually can't remember if I did the update. Is there a way to check when the last update was done.
It's responding worse than ever this evening now. 😣
