Versa 2 screen not responsive

Hello,

I've noticed that from time to time my versa 2 won't wake up when I press the button. It will occasionally wake up when I do the wrist movement, but then it is stuck on the watch face and won't let me swipe in any direction. This is really annoying as now I'm missing logging workouts because my Fitbit acts up before class. It's intermittent. Sometimes it works. But once it acts up, I usually can't make it work again for at least a day. I know the button is fine because it works to put the screen back to sleep once I've managed to awaken it by flipping my wrist.

I tried updating the firmware, switching to a Fitbit designed clock face, updating my app.

I literally have no clue what to do next. I have only had this for 4 months and I've treated it very gently. I can only assume this is some sort of software issue?

Hi @Melissa183 . When it wont respond to you try restarting it several times and see if that gets it going again. If that doesnt work try a button factory reset. If it still keeps happening contact Support.

Restart your tracker

BUTTON FACTORY RESET FOR VERSA 2
Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset.

Hi. The issue is now worse. I had to wait to force restart the watch since
the trouble I'm having makes the back button unresponsive.

Now that I finally factory reset it, it won't turn back on even when I plug
it in.

It was working fine this morning even if it didn't always wake up when I
needed it to, but now it doesn't work at all!
