Versa 2 screen turns itself off

I have had my Versa 2 since it came out in the fall. It was great, for a while. Now, it turns itself off randomly, the GPS comes on sometimes for no reason, sometimes I can't get the screen to display, sometimes the screen gets frozen, sometimes the buttons don't work.  It is very frustrating when we pay our hard earned money for a product that doesn't work properly.  I have read many threads. I have changed my clock face to a Fitbit one, I have restarted the watch, I have done factory reset on the watch. I'm sick of troubleshooting it. I just want a product that works the way it is supposed to.

Hi @Trkia42, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 screen turns off by itself and the GPS turns on all of a sudden. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

In order to avoid providing the same information, I would like to know how the factory reset was performed. Was it performed as described below?

 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

No, I went through the apps and then settings;about;factory reset

Hi @Trkia42, thank you getting back. Since you tried the factory reset by going to the "Settings" option, please try the way I shared above and see if your watch works properly.

This watch works now, but now my son's is just a black screen and it vibrates sometimes and tries to sync with MY phone (not my son's). I bought his in February and I must say I am not satisfied. 

 

Please help, as I don't want to keep paying so much money for these watches.
