Wore the watch in the shower. Now the screen is dark. When I try to get it on,I get the Red X and "data not cleared, sync and try again". I have tried the restart protocol without success. I tried the factory reset and I still get the red x message.

Phone won't connect via bluetooth to fitbit. Tried to reconnect but phone isn't seeing the watch. Android Samsung Galaxy S9.

Got the watch for Christmas so it is only 2 months old.

Hi @NellyG , thank you for your support and help!

Please follow these steps, some you have already done, but the order is important:

  • Restart your Versa 2.
  • Please on the phone, go to Settings> Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the watch. (Forget device, ignore or unpair the device depending on the version of the operating system of the cell phone)
  • Turn off the Bluetooth and restart your phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is on again, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT try to connect to the Versa 2 from here.
  • Go to the app. From here, try to set up the watch as a new device.

**SOLVED** after uninstalling and re-installing the app.

===============================================================================

I was able to restart my Versa 2 but I can't reconnect it now.  I've been trying to add it as a new device as recommended but my phone can't seem to find it. I've restarted the watch several times as well as my phone. I've toggled bluetooth on and off - nothing. The watch is also fully charged.
