Versa 2 side button

The side button on my Versa 2 is not working.  It moves in and out, but nothing comes up on the screen.  I could not get it to move off "Set up Wallet" until I let the fitbit run flat, then recharged it, but the button still won't work.  I sync it with a Samsung S22 and it has recently all be updated, since I recharged it.

Hi @FourPegs56 - did the side button fail after the firmware update? It has been known.

If you can use it, try a sync then use Shutdown from the watch Settings, About menu.  Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.

If that doesn't fix you can try changing clock face in the the Fitbit App, Gallery tile, just in case.

Failing that do a factory reset from the same About menu but wait at least several minutes before doing anything with watch.

Be warned that the watch may not work after due to a bug in that process which sometimes fails and that it will have to be setup again as a replacement watch if it succeeds.

Note the names of any special clocks or apps you installed in case you have to install them again.

Thanks Guy.  No.  The button stopped working before I updated it.  I let it go right flat before I did recharge it and update it.  If I tap the screen it will come up with the clock face, but if I go into anything else, I can't do anything, like set up an alarm etc as I can't use the side button because it just won't work.

Thanks @FourPegs56  - did you try any of the suggested solutions? It sounds like letting it go flat was the cause, so probably software not hardware, and so, possibly repairable.
