Clock face hung

I have 4 clockfaces, all free 3rd party.  The developer screen of the face I was switching from has Switching... on a big watch pic (for hours). That screen has Settings and See all details (but no Remove Face). There is a contact developer option under the details BTW The switch actually happened on the watch, but now I can't switch faces anymore - that screen has the old face checkmarked. Ideas?

Hi,

Try to first sync the watch with a mobile app, then if it is synced, try to install a new clock face.

There is also a popup message occasionally since then saying software did not finish installing, Continue or Later. I've tried both options and get an "Unable to Install, Try later" pop up. BTW I did try restarting my phone (but trying to avoid restarting my watch since I'll lose all my customizations and apps, right?)

Sync is done, nothing changed. But when I try to install a 5th clockface (by Fitbit), "Please wait, there is another clock install in progress..." and my only choice is OK.

I believe the only resolution is to reset your Versa as shown here

I think installing the new face eventually did work it out - it just took time, thanks.

Hey i just wanted to let you know that if you restart your watch, you will NOT lose any of your customization's, in fact, if you restart it, it even keeps track of your steps and everything. Any time i am having difficulty with my watch, my go-to is to restart it! Hope this helped (:

Hi @jack04 - useful information but note doing a full Shutdown from watch Settings does require a sync first in order to not lose data.

@wbadry - thanks for the link but users should only do a factory reset as a last resort and preferably only when instructed to because it may be a sledge hammer to crack a nut when a simpler solution is more applicable.

Not only that, it is possible to destroy a watch and create additional problems when doing a factory reset, not to mention a lot of setup to redo.
