Versa 2 step count accuracy issue

My Versa 2 shows I did 29,000 steps and I have only been up 2 hrs and setting at a desk for those 2 hours.  What is happening?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you and further investigate, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Only steps are being affected or other stats as well? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Versa 2 and let me know if the issue persists.
