Versa 2' steps disappearing when I sync

I just got my Versa 2 a couple of days ago and the first day I used it I didn’t have any problems. I had walked about 5,000 steps, synced my Versa 2 to my iOS Fitbit app(I have the iPhone XS Max), and both displayed the same step count.
The next day, I was just getting to work and I noticed that I had about 1,500 steps and the next time I checked my wrist, I had 500 something.
I did a sync, and I lost even more steps.

My Versa 2 step counting itself is accurate I believe, but when I synced it lost steps and kept going back to 400.
Today, I walk, sync, resets back to 25.

I have tried just about every trouble shoot that I could find:

Resetting phone(device/Bluetooth/location), resetting Versa 2, deleting and reinstalling Fitbit app, unpairing & repairing, logging out/in, I’ve even done a factory reset on my Versa 2.

I walk ->

Accumulate steps on Versa 2 & app(both accurate in real time) ->

Sync->

STEPS GONE!

Help meeee!!!!!

I have a Versa 1that started doing this and stopped tracking heart rate and sleep.  It was pretty old and well out of warranty and thought I'd just upgrade. New versa 2 arrived today.  Synced and turned off the old one.  Most of the steps had disappeared anyway when synced. Turned on and connected to new versa 2.  Everything seemed cool.  Met my goals, had fireworks etc.   Two hours later, met my goals again.... now I'm again short of my goals.  What gives?

I guess that’s the good news...you get to meet your goals more than once a day. 😳 I’ll be glad when they get this issue resolved. Makes me wonder if I shouldn’t have splurged on the Apple Watch. Big price difference, but a bit disappointed with the performance of the Fitbit currently.

This is still an issue still losing steps and active minutes which are the two I watch the most but I'm guessing it is still losing data from everything like before just not as badly. But if we are losing any data at all then FITBIT is not doing their job.

I feel your pain...I discovered mine were disappearing during a 4-week steps challenge...and really believe those missing steps were the difference between 4th place (loser, no $) and what should have been 2nd place...it makes me angry, but in the grand scheme of things, it is time for me to Let It Go.

My challenge is over and now I am just back to walking for myself..and of course, it looks like the problem has cleared up on my device! Isn’t that the way it always goes? Sigh...

Has this situation been solved yet? I have scrolled through so many messages of people with this problem (including me!) and no solutions given. NO, I do not have another activity tracker installed. NO, I do not have any logged activities overriding steps. But for some reason, after almost two years of ownership, my Versa 2 now randomly loses steps when I sync. I have almost 10,000 on my app (and previously had on my watch), but following a sync my Versa only shows 3,785. This is clearly a FitBit issue so why isn't it getting solved?!

I agree still has not been resolved and they don't seem to care to resolve it. I went from easily taking over 20k steps a day at work absolutely nothing changed and now rarely can even get to the 10k. Only reason I even tried a fitbit because my work does a wellness thing and gave $50 towards any fitbit and each month if meet a goal earn so much $ from them. Which I had always met the top goal now can barely meet their bottom goal. Ive gone from 40k plus to 3k only before its retarded and I will never buy a fitbit again because they have the worst customer service possible. They blame issues on the customers and even if they have thousands stating same issue its still a customer issue according to them. So if you read and are debating a fitbit I would not recommend even if I was offered one for free dont think id want it even. More stress then needed even when just trying to meet a personal goal.
