Versa 2 stopped tracking my sleep stages

This morning my fitbit did not track my sleep stages. I pay for premium and I use that information for my sleep apnea and other health issues. It is important to know what my sleep stages are. I did try restarting my app and my tracker and I did adjust my start and end times like another forum said to do, but nothing has worked to get my sleep stages. Also, I did download a watchface that had the oxygen tracker on it, but I have taken it off since I am worried it messed with my sleep stages. But if you could help me get my sleep stages back for last night/this morning, that would be great!

Hi there @sljacobs, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 stopped tracking your sleep stages, I understand how important is to you to get your data accurately. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for your time and efforts in trying to solve this issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to help you.

As a first approach, I'd recommend to restart your Versa 2 as described here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?. The restart will help to refresh your watch internally and correct discrepancy any with your data.

Then, I'd like you to please confirm that the heart rate settings on your watch is "On". On your device, open the Settings app Heart Rate > tap to turn the setting On. I was wondering if this is the first time you don't receive your sleep stages? Would you mind confirming that you edited your sleep data as suggested here: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

On the other hand, please consider the following information in order to receive sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

About the SpO2 clock face, know that your Fitbit device must sync with the Fitbit app before the clock face updates. Note that it may take around an hour for your SpO2 values to appear after you sync your device. For troubleshooting syncing, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
