Versa 2 stopped vibrating

I always seem to have problems with vibrating mode. I bout a fitbit light for myself and one for my son's birthday. Both quit vibrating after about 9 months. Then I bought a versa 2. I also bought one for my son again. I don't think it has been a year and they both stop vibrating again. Can this be fixed or is it a problem with the versa's?

Hello @Marysnails

Is it possible that you and your son has the Do Not Disturb Mode (DND) or the Sleep mode enabled? Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move don't cause the watch to vibrate or the screen to turn on if they are enabled. You can also check the vibration strength by swiping your clock face to the left, tap settings gear icon the scroll to vibration. Adjust your watch's vibration strength there to a higher level. If you find that everything is set correctly but your still not receiving vibrations when you should I’d try restarting the Versa 2. You won’t lose any data doing this. Just hold down the side button until the Fitbit logo appears then release the button. You should feel the Versa 2 vibrate indicating the restart is complete.

Hi there, @Marysnails. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about the issue with the Versa 2 devices. I understand where your concern is coming from.

If the Versa 2 devices have stopped vibrating only when a notification comes in, please check what @SunsetRunner highlighted above. When the do not disturb setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The do not disturb icon illuminates in the quick settings.

When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in the quick settings.

To turn either of these settings off, swipe right from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

However, if the devices are not vibrating at all, no alarms, no goals, etc., please see Why didn't my Fitbit device alert me?

Hope that helps.
