Versa 2 stopped working properly

I wish Fitbit would just admit there’s a glitch. Everybody’s Fitbit has gone crazy between yesterday and today. The issues still aren’t fixed. Anybody else?

Mine has quit syncing with my phone. It’s happened before and I could fix it. This time it acts like it doesn’t recognize my Fitbit. Help

Hi there, @Ohthatsjess. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 stopped working properly. I understand where your concern is coming from. We're here to help!

I've seen you contacted our Support Team just right after posting here and they've already assisted you. If you have any questions regarding the outcome of your case, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team again. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.

@RobbinsNest As a first approach, I suggest following the troubleshooting steps provided in this help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

If the issue persists, please try the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Update: My battery will not even charge. So I definitely can’t do the troubleshooting…again.

I just find it strange that everybody’s device went crazy at the same time. But anywho….thanks for replying, I guess.

I have tried the soft reset. Worked before. Not this time. NOT a blue tooth issue since my phone is NoT even detecting my watch. Any suggestions?

I tried a restart of my Versa 2 when it wouldn’t sync (after trying all the other suggestions in help) and now I’m stuck with the logo on my watch face. Nothing changes.

UPDATE: Went to X and got support - my Versa 2 is out of warranty, but I got a discount on a new Fitbit. Guess the old one has given up the ghost!

Same here. While it is on the charger it says it is 100% battery, but a literal 2 seconds after I disconnect it from the charger,  it shuts down as if the battery died. Charging it for hours , charging it for days, makes no difference.
