I have had 3 watches from Fitbit and they only seem to last 2 years.  Why don't they last longer??  I would love to buy a watch and have it last much longer.  I don't want to continue to have to buy a smartwatch every 2 years!  Frustrating.......Should I buy an apple and it be able to last longer than 2 years??

Fitbits solution to my problems have been to offer a discount for a new watch.  The discounts have been small for the issues I have been having.  My 1st watch was purchased in 2016.  I have been through 3 watches in 6 years (a new watch after 2 years). If I decide to purchase another watch, this will make 4 new watches.  Why can't the watches last longer?  My 1st  watch would not charge and the screen went black.  The 2nd watch died after I installed a firmware update.  This time, watch would not hold a charge and would not track steps.  After trying to reset, it died!   I really would like a watch that would last longer than 2 years.  Having to dish out $150-$200 every 2 years for a watch ends up being way too much to spend on a Fitbit.  I could be purchasing an Apple for that amount.
