Versa 2 stopped working

My Versa 2 just unexpectedly died.  I saw a previous thread on others who had the same issues that I am having. I too tried all the suggestions for fixes to no avail.  I am curious if others got any satisfaction or did we all get a lemon with the Versa 2’s?

I was offered a discount for a future purchase. 
I honestly feel like if FITBIT was aware that there was a battery issue with the Versa 2’s they should have done more by offering to replace the battery.
I cannot afford a new Fitbit, so I have reverted back to wearing my Charge 2 which will have to do for now.
Very disappointing…
