Versa 2 stopped working

I noticed a week ago my fitbit wasn't tracking properly. Not picking up all steps or night time readings. Then stopped altogether tracking. Clock still worked and if I tracked my walk through the app it would then add the steps that way. 

I have read others comments and restarted my fitbit, still no luck and now it is buzzing between screens. From speaking to customer contact yesterday I know my sensor on the back no longer lights up. Does that mean it is broken and cannot be fixed?
