Versa 2 stops tracking my sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This has been an ongoing issue. I have to restart my versa every other day. It tracks my sleep on the day I restart it, but then doesn't track it the next day. Pretty annoying, it shouldn't need a restart every day to work properly.

Hi @JenniferR16, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since you need to restart it in order so it can track your sleep. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup
  5. Set up your watch from scratch

Finally, monitor your Versa 2 and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I’ve been trying all the trouble shooting suggestions and my Fitbit still is not reading my heart rate or tracking my sleep. Just did the full factory restart and still no heart rate tracking. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, he gave instructions for the Versa, not Versa 2 😒. I just tried a factory reset for my Versa 2 from settings (swipe left to settings, scroll all the way down to 'about' and then scroll down to 'factory reset').  Here's hoping it resolves the issues.

Hello, I don't have any solutions, it just seems that all to often the
only suggestion is to restart/reset. My Versa 2 has from the start
randomly not monitored my sleep properly.. It works flawlessly for 7 to 10
days and then decides to start recording late or stops recording early and
many times leaves gaps during the night. Resetting it does nothing. I've
just come to the conclusion that the technology needs improvement and have
reluctantly accepted that fact. Good luck with it.🙄
